Kavita asked her uncle and aunty to extend their stay. But they refused and her uncle said, "your gift is kept in your room, promise me that you will unpack it tomorrow on your birthday."
Kavita's uncle and aunty departed to their town. Kavita was curious about the gift so she unpacked it. It was a box full of chocolates, biscuits, chips, and nachos.
Kavita's mother entered her room. Her mother found that she had unpacked the box. Mother said, "Oh, it is very bad that you were not able to wait till tomorrow for your birthday and unpackef the gift."
Kavita said, "I will not eat any of them till tomorrow."
Time was passing and at night Kavita woke up and ate one of the chocolates. After finishing chocolate she open a pack of chips and finished it. This was going on and she finished all the snacks which were gifted to her by her uncle and aunty.
Next morning when her mother came to wish her, she found that Kavita had eaten all the snacks. Kavita's mom furiously said, "how could she finish all snacks without our permission."
Kavita's father said, "Chill! let's tackle this in her way. Serve her all the favourite snacks for the day."
For breakfast Kavita was served with kurkure and choco chips biscuits with choco milk. Kavita was very happy with that breakfast.
Her mother decided to give 4 chips packets and a chocolate bar in her lunch box. Kavita was surprised to see favourite items in her lunch box.
She finished two of chips packet and ate half of the chocolate. But now she was fed up off all chips and chocolate.
When she return home her mother asked, "you must be hungry beta! Here is your plate for lunch."
Kavita found a plate full of muffins and bingos and nachos. She was already fed up of chips and chocolate and again she was served with few of her favourite snacks. Her mother was eating palak paneer and roti. Kavita was looking towards her plate and her mother half heartedly.
At evening there was her birthday party and Kavita's friends gathered. After cake cutting all were served with pav bhaji, jalebi and a piece of cake. But in Kavita's plate, there were choco biscuits, cake, nachos, and kurkure.
Party was over and Kavita's stomach started growling. But she ignored that. She said to unwrap her gifts. Her mother said, "You will love all of them as I told all of your friends to bring your favourite snacks in gifts."
After unwrapping all the gifts Kavita started sobbing. Her father asked, "What happened? Didn't you like the gifts?"
"Papa I am sick of chocolates, nachos, kurkure, chips, and all the snacks." Insert Kavita with theory eyes, "I want to have normal food."
Kavita's mother brought her a plate full of roti, potato curry, rice, and dal. Kavita ate first bite and cheerly said, "yummy!".
Kavita got her lesson that normal food is the only necessity and her favourite snacks are for timepass only.
